What are the right SMTP and pop settings for SBCGlobal?

 


SBC global is a world-renowned company with a great mail service. In today’s blog, we will be discussing steps to add this email service to Outlook without much fuss.

 

Steps to add SBC globalemail to Outlook

 

1.       Launch the Outlook application on your device, to begin with.

 

2.       After you open your Outlook email application, click on the file menu, and then click on the "add account" option from there.

3.       For the account setup process, you will need to click on the “manual setup or additional server types” option and then click on next.

4.       In the next window, you will need to choose the “service page”. Click on the internet email option from there and click on next once you are done.

5.       Next, enter the user information details correctly in the next window;

 

·       User name: enter your full name correctly

·       Email address: enter your email address correctly along with the domain

6.       Next, you will need to choose from IMAP or POP as the “account type”. Once you have selected, you will need to fill out the server information field.

 

If you choose IMAP, fill in the details given below for the server information;

 

·       Incoming email server: imap.mail.att.net

·       Incoming port: enter 993 in this field

·       Outgoing email server: smtp.mail.att.net

·       Outgoing port: type 465 in this field

 

In case you choose POP as your account type, enter the details given below;

 

·       Incoming email server: outbound.att.net

·       Incoming port: enter 995 in this field

·       Outgoing email server: outbound.att.net

·       Outgoing port: fill out 465 in this field

 

7.       Once you have entered the account type and filled the details for the server information, fill out the details for the login information field;

 

·       Email address: enter your email address for the mail account

·       Password: fill out your mail password correctly

·       Encryption connection type: select SSL for this field

 

8.       Once you have entered the details, click on next and then on Finish to complete the configuration of SBCglobal.net email settings on Outlook.

 

If for some reason you forget your mail password, you can easily recover it by visiting the SBCglobalforgot password page. Enter the recovery details there and you can reset your mail password in almost no time.
